Poem because of Kara Walker #1

You’ve slept pass the ships of Royal Company
Where the heartache tells stories of trade or kidnapping
Heartaches and made laughter, And —
Your foot comes like a stool hiding the roman numeral

It’s cold where I think
No one knows where the globe is,
Yet how dare you
to get up on stage
And sit with giants.
